landscapes to suit your vision

Providing a fully comprehensive service Gregorys are experienced in creating many different styles of garden including Japanese, contemporary and traditional English. We are well versed with the techniques required and always adaptable and keen to work with new materials and ideas.

We offer our own in-house design service which allows an inquiry to be worked, step by step, through our system to a high finish conclusion. Our designs are carefully crafted to suit your desires and the feel and character of your property. We are equally happy to construct designs drawn by garden designers and have recently completed several projects on this basis with Ann Balmforth.

Our display area has a wide range of materials laid out to see, touch and compare. We show paving, walling, Millboard decking, Baksteen bricks, edgings, artificial grass and aggregates all laid in sample areas for you to peruse at your leisure. It’s a great place to meet our designer after an initial concept has been agreed.
Gregorys recycle as much waste as possible. This policy is reflected in our design practice as well specifying materials from sustainable suppliers and reputable quarries at home and abroad. We are always looking to incorporate recycled products and permeable surfaces to keep the environmental costs to a minimum.

We have been involved in conservation work too, of both types. Gregorys have successfully worked with ecologists to implement landscape strategies in sites of special scientific interest (SSSI). We have worked with the Landmark Trust restoring the landscape around historic buildings.

Whatever your requirements our broad experience and enthusiasm will give you the help needed to realise your project.

With so many types of paving available our display area will be a great help to you when it comes to choosing what surface finish to go for. We also supply and use the latest resin jointing compounds in colours to match the different slabs. We stock Indian sandstone, limestone, slate and porcelain products by Brett and Talasey. Our suppliers are members of the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) ensuring ethical practices in manufacturing and reinvestment at a community level.

Our installers are experienced in using brick, rendered block and stone to build walls to fit the style and look you require. We regularly use Oak sleepers or gabion baskets to build retaining walls where footings and drainage issues make traditional walling too costly or impractical.

Whatever your requirements we will have a solution.

Gregory’s design and supply external timber structures of all kinds. We use several different timbers favouring oak and larch for structural work and cedar for cladding. We use UK grown timber and local suppliers where possible. The sawn lengths of timber sent to us are machined and crafted into components in our workshop. Kits are then sent to site for construction.

Gregorys staff have been trained to install Millboard decking products. This long-lasting alternative to timber offers a degree of finish that previously we could only dream of. We also supply and install IRO heat enhanced timber and Piranha composite decking products. The colour and texture options are vast with a product to suit every garden.

With a multitude of choices for edging and surfacing we can together find the best combination to meet your requirements. We regularly install Kinley steel and aluminium edging systems especially where accurate curves are required. Baksteen bricks, stone paving, loose and compacted aggregates are all popular options for surfacing paths.

Artificial Grass

Sometimes artificial grass is the best option. In a small garden regularly occupied by children or pets it’s a sensible choice. It requires little maintenance and comes in a variety of grades. Contact us for samples or visit our display area to peruse the choice.

Water features and lighting

Our team is are experienced in building and installing water features. From large ponds to small garden features we regularly incorporate water in our landscaping projects. Lighting adds a whole new dimension to a garden and is often overlooked. Certain systems are expensive to install requiring an electrician and preplanning of cable routes at the groundwork stage. Depending on your budget, 12 Volt LED lighting kits are very effective and can be installed by our team in any garden.
